Tara gave birth just about 2 weeks after our shoot, to Baby Cameron. I was so amazed how she moved around... who'd thought she was pregnant except for the Belly bump! Tara, Bryan and I got acquainted with Ruston Way... we were holding our breath, hoping the rain would hold out... YAY! Happy to say it did; then a few days later we did a mini session in Orting when the skies were clear, so Mt. Rainier graced us with its presence for a few shots. We had a great time, and I am very excited to see Baby Cameron.... a few from our sessions....

Katie + Marshall | Wedding

What a gorgeous day... sun shining, blue skies a rarity for WA state... but it absolutely was perfect. Katie & Marshall are so fun & creative; their wedding definitely portrayed their personalities. The color lego candy filled beakers to the science books on the tables. It was just fabulous. And let me tell you those two had their boogie shoes on, because they danced all evening! Singer, song writer and his wife sings back up vocals. We did this shoot for their new album, I've had the privlage to preview the CD before it's release, and I must say.... AMAZING! Our session was low key, and relaxed. Our goal was to get some shots for their CD cover, how exciting... I will update the final CD release date and where to listen.

Lily | 3-Year Portraits

Lily is 3 years old, and oh my goodness, her curls are longer, she's so much taller, and I will be the first to tell you she run like crazy. I certainly got my work out with Lil'Miss Lily. We ran around the yard, played with the horses, oh, and she showed me her most fabulous teeth! I love kids, they keep you honest! Few from the session....

Photo Booth

I recently shot a wedding where there was a photo booth.... It was a huge it! Everyone loved it! The B&G set up a table next to the booth, with a book, scissors, and an endless array of colored markers.... Their guests went wild! It prints in 30 seconds and there is an attendant there, the guest receives a copy like this one... except it has the event name and date, you get to take home as a souvenir, and then the other half goes into the B&G's book. The B&G also have a web gallery of all their guest photos. Genius!! Here's my mug in the booth...

Part one... Lindsay & Taylor are just so darn cute! They found an abandoned dilapidated barn and it was just perfect. We had a ton of fun exploring the area. It was dry when we started and by the time we finished we were completed soaked, gotta love WA weather, but we got some fabulous shots.... We will be commencing part two of their engagement shoot with sunshine and at the beach very soon. And as always just a handful of my favs.

Corbin, oh this little man is just the cutest, baby boy! He was surprisingly awake for a good portion of our time together. Although we tuckered him out near the end, he got mad a few times but quickly recovered. He decided since he was naked he was going to pee on everything, floor, blankets, baskets, and even mom, a few times! Such a handsome little guy. Thank you mom and dad for allowing me to be creative with your new bundle of joy! And I have to say, he totally rocked the Harley image! I look forward to our 6-month photo session. Jack & I had a fantastic session! He was such a busy bee, first he mowed the lawn in his John Deer gear, then planted flowers, put out fires (not really, but he was ready)! Then off to work, with the heavy duty dump truck, a little concert rock out!

To the Choo-Choo Train, whoo hoo! I think I can, I think I can... Then we visited Never Never-land, the fairy dust was amazing, Jack was a great Peter Pan. And final destination was back to mom, laughter is just good for the soul. Thank you to Grandma for all the wonderful places Jack and I got to visit during our session, it was fun-filled and I so enjoyed getting to know Jack and negotiating with him, he's a smart little boy. So difficult to choose some favorites for the blog, but here goes.

Talk about fall colors, Kelly and I shot part 1 of her senior portraits at a local park, and oh my goodness the colors of the leaves were so vividly bright, it almost looked as if someone had painted to colors on the trees. Having said that it was the perfect back drop to our first session. Kelly is so fun to hang with, she's silly, quick witted, and very sweet which made it really easy to photograph her. So watch out Seattle we are coming when spring hits! Consider this a warning! No seriously Kelly and I are going to have an absolute blast for part 2 in downtown Seattle. This beautiful girl... Let me tell you she's a fun loving, easy going character, & the smiles & laughter come so naturally. She was a joy to photograph & was willing to try anything. Her mom & BFF tagged along, lugging around a suitcase full of clothing changes & accessories. We had a ball! Brittany said in our consultation "these are my senior pictures, we have to bring it!" Well Brittany, I think we brought it, we actually totally rocked this photo session. Another interesting tid bit; one of the buildings shot is some of the photographs are of the building that was demolished this week in downtown Tacoma. I am so bummed, it was such a great location. Here's a few of my favs from the shoot. It's so hard to choose. Thanks again Brittany, it was so fun to hang with ya in the city!

Lake Tapps Golf Course, beautiful setting, beautiful people, and a fabulous wedding. The rain held out and the Mountain made a small appearance. It was hilarious when the officiant asked for everyone to turn off their cell phones, & the entire bridal party, Bride/Groom included did not obey, and their phones blew up with beeping noises at that very moment. Orting Saturday Market

The Orting Saturday Market is now officially over, I had a blast meeting the people in the community. It was a great opportunity; and I just love this little town. Below are some random images taken from the Kid's Day Saturday, we had fabulous weather, and it seemed as though all the kids were very much entertained! Booth | Orting Saturday Market

OH MY GOODNESS! What a great way to get to know the community. If you missed me at the Orting Saturday Market I will be there for the next six Saturdays. My little 8x8 space was a challenge to design but I think it turned out alright for my first booth. Thanks to my wonderful husband for all his help and support. Images taken with a P&S.

For this market each week there is a drawing, fill out the little card, drop it in the jar, and you may win a FREE Portrait session, an 11x14, and an online slide show. All winners will be announced & contacted on August 31st. My booth is located inside the building. Good Luck!

Great town, great people, it was buzzing early that morning. There is a bike trail that runs right through town so we got a lot of runners & cyclist early in the morning. The market runs from 9AM-2PM until August 22nd. There are crafters, artists, farmers, jewelers, it's quite a diverse market. Hope to see you there!

Coffee Table Book Sample

I am totally pumped up about this sample book, it is a 10x10 white leather coffee table book with silver imprinting. This is my first book through this particular vendor and I am very pleased with the quality, craftsmanship, and overall grand appearance! It's amazing!!! I will be ordering more samples later this week; a 12x12 red leather and an 8x8 image wrap!

The book is offered in 12 amazing leather choices, it has premium heavy weighted paper with or without rounded corners, imprinting or not, and I offer it in 8x8, 10x10, and 12x12.

The books lay flat, two-page spreads (mainly the way I design) are simply breathtakingly gorgeous with no cut seams! You don't loose any part of your photograph. Check out the pics and the colors available, oh by the way you can also get the cover image wrap, Rather than leather it's an image from your session on the cover. Rokkan Family | Portraits

Talk about a wild bunch! This was by far the largest family session I've done, close to forty people! Yaohza! We were worried about the weather; first report no rain then changed to possible showers, then back to sunshine! We lucked out, a bit chilly when we started, but it turned into a beautiful day.
Seriously, though I couldn't of had more fun, each person had their own flare, and grandma and grandpa were so clever and witty. All the kids were so cooperative, even though one of the little ones kept getting a bloody nose - you'd never know it! As most big families know it's quite an ordeal to get everyone in one spot at one time, what a excellent group to work with!

Lily | Portraits

Oh my goodness... Lily is sooooo adorable. This seventeen-month old kept me on my toes and running around after her. The expressions on her face were a photographers dream. Our session was on the Tacoma Waterfront and boy oh boy she was curious about EVERYTHING! Dogs, people, grass, flowers, rocks, water, you name it she was just so intrigued by it. Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa were all there and make silly faces at her and try to capture her attention just for a split second.

Thank you Lily, what a fabulous session, I cannot wait to photograph you again! It was so hard to choose a few of my favs, but here the ones I managed to choose.

Girls Night Out!

April 17th, the Windmill Gardens in Sumner has an event just for woman, and woman vendors. It far exceeded any of my expectations. There were over 535 woman at this event, completely sold out! Cathery is a friend of mine who needed some portfolio images of her amazing work. Needless to say my point & shoot camera came along and we got this shot of Cathery at her booth. Cathery totally rocked it! Great job Cathery!
